Avoid misleading titles
Do not use translated terms such as “notario público” in a way that implies attorney authority.

A notary commission alone does not authorize form selection, legal advice, or immigration-consultant services.
Communicate directly
Do not rely on an interpreter to establish willingness or understanding for the notarial act.
