New and expired applicants use an approved six-hour course. A qualifying active notary may use a three-hour refresher only before expiration.
Exam and application move together

Submit fingerprints after passing and retain ATI information.
Protect the 30-day filing period
File oath and bond with the correct county clerk within 30 calendar days from the commission start date.
